The first hand is the hard part, not the rules. You can start with a free AI partner and take as long as you need.
Do I need four players?
No. Three seats are AI. You never wait for an empty room.
Can I play mahjong alone?
Yes. Open a table against AI, or clear a solitaire layout if you only want a short break.
What is the difference between Chinese and American mahjong?
Chinese-style games build melds and a pair. American practice uses a card of exact patterns, plus Charleston and jokers. Both are free practice here, not a cash game.
Is this site really free?
Yes. There is no buy-in, no cash-out, and no purchasable gambling currency.
Do I need an account?
No. You can start a hand without signing in. An account only saves points and progress.
